Teenagers rushed to help a woman in need this afternoon, after she fell during a walk in Simonswood.
It is believed a woman fell down the embankment in Simonswood and ‘broke her leg’.
A local lady who witnessed the accident, but wants to remain anonymous, told the ECHO a lady ‘broke her leg at Simonswood near Kirkby.’
She said: “Our local kids helped the paramedics. Proud of them for helping out.
“The local youths simply helped the paramedics safely across the river and helped with their bags and supplies making sure they crossed the river with ease.
“Not often our kids get praise and I fully believe praise where praise is due.”
Images show a section of the walkway cordoned off, while paramedics treat the injured woman.
The witness saw kids rush to the scene to give a helping hand and she even managed to capture some of the moment on camera.
Footage of the incident shows paramedics struggling to get out of the embankment whilst carrying their equipment.
A number of young people then run over to offer a hand and help them get to safety.
