Detectives on Thursday arrested a 30-year-old man from Mbiuni in Machakos County for allegedly ‘sodomising’ three boys.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the man cajoled three minors with Sh20, before leading them to his house where he engaged in the heinous act.
“Disturbingly, two of the three boys are brothers aged eight and ten while the third one is their 8-year-old neighbor,” DCI said in a tweet.
The three boys narrated their ordeal to the detectives who then rushed them to Mbiuni Level Two hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
The suspect was placed in police custody as investigations into the alleged act continue.
“He is being processed for arraignment,” police said.
The incident happens just two days after detectives rescued six boys aged between 14-19 years in Chogoria, Tharaka Nithi County, following a tip-off from the public.
According to the police, the four minors aged 14-15 years and two young adults aged18-19 years had been held by a Chief Inspector of Police, who had been ‘sodomising’ them.
“In a horror-like scene visited by Maara sub-County Criminal Investigations Head and his Kenya Police counterparts, the boys were found sleeping on the floor in the perpetrator’s house within Chogoria Township,” the report said.
Upon investigations, the minors who were rescued in the dead of night, revealed that the officer had been sodomising them for an unknown period.
The Police Inspector, who is said to be in charge of a police post within the town, conflicting his role as an officer of the law, is being held at Chuka Police Station awaiting the mention of his case on December 29. The prosecution had pleaded with the court for more time to conclude their investigations.
